Queensland Floods Destroy Wedding Plans
Wedding couple rescued by Tamborine hotel who hosted their special event and saved the day

The ripple effect of the disastrous floods in Brisbane and surrounds has left one couple without a venue for their special wedding day.
With little to any chance of a refund they have been rescued by the Bearded Dragon Hotel at Tamborine who has offered them a heavily discounted day to cover basic costs.
Arrangements were also made with local Event Specialist Pam Hughes from Always Unique, who provided all of the centrepieces and decoration at minimal cost.
The Bride to be Tamika Rose had already had to face the devastating news earlier this year of being diagnosed with a terminal illness, and only been given months to live, and so is thrilled with the fact that her day will go ahead as planned today at Bearded Dragon Hotel.
The Bearded Dragon Wedding venue was fortunately in an area that is unaffected directly by the floods.
Wedding & Events Co-ordinator Cari Anne Ferris said, “We are really happy that we have been able to be of assistance and would certainly do it for any couples who have been left without a venue, all our team here have really pulled together in just a couple of days !”
The Ceremony, Wedding Reception and Accommodation was held today Saturday 15th January 2011.
